National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a phone conversation on Sunday with President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, according to Turkmenistan’s state media.
President Mirziyoyev congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on his birthday, extending wishes for good health, long life, and continued success in his efforts to ensure the prosperity of Turkmenistan and the well-being of its people. He also praised Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov’s contributions to strengthening Turkmen-Uzbek relations and conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
National Leader of the Turkmen people thanked the Uzbek leader for the kind words and noted Turkmenistan’s strong commitment to expanding its comprehensive cooperation with Uzbekistan, a close neighbor and reliable partner. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the growing partnership between their countries, which has reached a qualitatively new level in recent years across a wide range of sectors.
According to the report, the two leaders acknowledged the ongoing, productive dialogue between their respective ministries and sectoral agencies. They also emphasized the importance of further enhancing cooperation between the countries’ legislative bodies.
Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan expressed gratitude to President Mirziyoyev for his personal contribution to the development of strategic Turkmen-Uzbek relations.
